Expanding Access to Reliable SRH Information

The project aims to increase sexual and reproductive health (SRH) knowledge, especially among youth, in a context where cultural norms often make such discussions taboo. Young people frequently encounter unreliable information online and feel unable to ask questions due to embarrassment, leading to confusion and isolation. FPA created a safe, tri-lingual digital space for SRH dialogue, information, and counselling, using phone calls, SMS, online chat, and forums. Qualified doctors and counsellors provide services while ensuring anonymity and confidentiality, making reliable SRH support accessible to all.

“At first, I was afraid because I thought I might have an STI. I didn’t feel comfortable telling anyone, so I turned to Google and looked for safe testing options. That’s when I found the Happy Life Call Centre number and decided to call. They were very kind and non-judgmental. I felt supported and was guided clearly through the next steps. I went for testing and found out that I was not infected. I still remember how they helped calm my fears, clear my mind, and support me throughout the process. I am truly grateful for their service and would recommend the Happy Life Call Centre to anyone in Sri Lanka who needs guidance and support.”
